- Have you been sick in the last 14 days?
- Have you been around anyone that has been sick in the last 14 days?
- Have you traveled outside the country in the last month?
- Have your medications changed in the last two weeks?
- Do you have any medications with you? (Staff member to collect if yes)
- Hair-check for any evidence of lice

Any camper who is symptomatic or is suspicious of being symptomatic will not be allowed inside the Camp Ozark premises or be allowed to travel to camp by bus or airplane.

In 2020, staff will take camper temperatures daily at the cabin and are trained to recognize any additional symptoms of communicable diseases, forwarding campers with elevated temperatures or other symptoms to one of our two Health Centers immediately for further evaluation.

One-week campers are screened under the supervision of a medical professional mid-week during a health and wellness check for the following:
- Any evidence of symptoms of communicable illness
- Overall cleanliness including hair, skin, and nails
- Any rashes that need further medical attention
- Any infected bites that need further medical attention

Two-week campers are screened under the supervision of a medical professional in both the first and second week during a health and wellness check for the following:
- Any evidence of symptoms of communicable illness
- Overall cleanliness including hair, skin, and nails
- Any rashes that need further medical attention
- Any infected bites that need further medical attention
Health & Wellness
Camp Ozark’s health and wellness program is managed year-round by a team of highly experienced medical professionals. This team includes one of the owners, a Registered Nurse with a Master’s Degree in Community Health and who has practiced camp nursing for over 40 years; the Medical Director, a board-certified pediatrician with over 25 years of experience as a practicing pediatrician; and the Health Center Coordinator, a Nurse Practitioner, who holds a Master of Science in Nursing and has over 20 years of emergency room nursing experience.

- 1-2 licensed physicians on site and on call each session
- Up to 12 registered nurses on site and on call each session
- Access to a network of specialty physicians for advanced care, including emergency medicine, radiology, orthopedics and more
- The medical staff maintain BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications with training in emergency care of pediatric and adult populations
- Staff trained by the American Red Cross in CPR and First Aid
