Dave first came to Camp Ozark in 1988 as a cabin counselor. After two summers in the cabin, he served five summers as a member of the Camp Ozark Top Staff while completing his M.S. degree in Exercise Science at Oklahoma State. In 1995, he decided to follow his heart and commit to Camp Ozark full-time.

Dave met his bride-to-be, Andi, at Camp Ozark in 2013, and they celebrated their marriage in 2015. Dave and Andi now live just down the road from Camp Ozark, where they enjoy country living with their dogs and two awesome kids, Hannah and Alex.

Over the years, Dave has served in a wide variety of capacities. Currently, he oversees the Camp Ozark media team during the summer and assists with marketing efforts. Dave also helps with international staffing, the nightly Special Events, and camper behavior.

Having spent almost 40 summers at Camp Ozark, Dave has a gift for connecting with and relating to campers, playing a critical role in ensuring they have a positive and meaningful experience. Dave’s greatest joy at camp is getting to know campers, making them laugh, and watching them grow in confidence. Dave also loves hosting the youngest camper’s Morning Show each day!
