Josh was born and raised in Carrickfergus, in the heart of Northern Ireland. After graduating from Liverpool John Moores University in Liverpool, UK, he moved to the United States to join the domestic recruiting team at Camp Ozark on an 18-month visa. It was there that he met his wife, Frannie (OLE Assistant Program Director), and together they decided to make America their long-term home. After serving three full summers at camp, Josh relocated to Chattanooga, where he began his MBA at Bryan College while also representing the men’s soccer team. Upon completing his MBA, Josh worked a corporate job for a few years before returning to the Camp Ozark family in 2025 as the founding Director of Onward Leadership Exchange (OLE). Through this new venture, Josh oversees the strategizing, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring of international staff. Josh and Frannie have three sons—Finn, Oliver, and Murphy—who join them on their adventure to help connect people from around the world to a place they believe changes lives.
