Patrick joined the Camp Ozark Permanent Staff in 2009. He now serves as the Director of Ministry Resources and Camper Programming for Torn Family Camps. Patrick also serves as a Senior Operating Director at Camp Ozark.
Patrick grew up in Illinois and first connected with Camp Ozark in the fall of 2002 as a college freshman. While spending each of his college summers at Ozark, Patrick triple-majored as an undergraduate at Vanderbilt University. He then studied theology in graduate school for five years, earning masters degrees at Duke University and Harvard University along the way. Patrick is honored to now serve as the theologian-in-residence for Torn Family Camps. In the midst of all this, Patrick met his wife, Katie, at Camp Ozark during the summer of 2007. They welcomed their son, Bhrett, in 2012. Out and about in their Houston community, Patrick can be found coaching Bhrett’s soccer teams, teaching adult classes at Houston’s First Baptist Church, serving on the SBMSA Soccer Board, eating out at his and Katie’s favorite restaurants, and frequenting the movie theater for big-budget action flicks.
Patrick met his wife, Katie, at Camp Ozark during the summer of 2007. Katie had just taken a job as Sam Torn’s Executive Assistant, and Patrick noticed her right away for her unrivaled kindness, intentionality, and generosity. To Patrick’s relief, Katie said yes on Valentine’s Day of 2010, and they were married later that year in Katie’s hometown of Conroe, TX. Patrick and Katie both still work full-time for Camp Ozark today, and love serving the Camp Ozark mission together!
