The Torns believe firmly that the Lord has blessed them with amazing staff, driven by purpose and committed to the mission of serving kids. Each of the three summer camp environments created by the Torns have been meticulously planned to blend incomparable natural beauty and scenery with the most diverse and exciting camp programming in America. Whether it be creating new and innovative ways for kids to have a total blast, perfecting the customer experience, providing quality health care, washing dishes or re-stocking the store, each of the three generations of Torns are fully invested in making the experience incomparable.
Our goal is for each and every child and each and every staff member to feel like family. We know for many families, the summer camp experience is transformative for their children. We love creating places where kids can be kids. Where they can learn to laugh, sing, run, and play. Where they can be goofy, silly, and crazy. Where they can learn, mature, and grow. Where they can make a friend, be a friend, and keep a friend. It’s why we do what we do. There is no place we would rather be than leading an amazing staff who seek to make a real impact on kids. See you this summer!

Participation in this program is not required to work at camp as a Top Staff - it's an additional opportunity for those who may be looking for professional experience in a specific area or who are looking for additional leadership training.
If you are sure that you want to work at camp this summer, but don't know if you'd like to participate in the program, go ahead and sign your offer letter. The internship program can be added later!
For some Top Staff roles, preference will be given to internship program participants.
Top Staff interested in the internship program are asked to complete this Program Interest Form or contact Bentley Fletcher (346) 426-5714 by October 16th.
Some positions are limited and may require an additional interview or application process. For Top Staff interested in these roles, the Recruiting Team will reach out to discuss next steps.
Placement in internship roles will be determined by Recruiting Team leadership.
Program participants can expect to receive final decisions regarding specific internship placement prior to Thanksgiving.
Upon receiving an offer to participate in a specific internship role, participants will need to accept the position and sign their offer letter within two weeks.
Some internships may correlate directly with a specific Top Staff position. For example, the HR Management Intern will serve as the HR Top Staff and will know their assignment upon acceptance into the internship program.
Other internships may not require assignment to a specific Top Staff position. For example, an Operations Management Intern may be assigned to the Ropes Course as their primary responsibility, while another may be assigned to Outdoor Skills. For these internships, participants will receive their Top Staff assignments in April.
